West Ham Ready to Contend For Premier league next season with profunding bid for Arnautovic

West Ham finally reached an agreement with Stoke City over the transfer of 28-year-old Marko Arnautović.

The Austrian international had been the subject of two previous offers by West Ham, believed to be in the region of £20m, before the Hammers third offer of £24m was accepted by Stoke. Signed by Stoke in 2013 for just £2m, Arnautović was a catalyst to transform the way football was played at the bet365 Stadium. According to Reports, the Austrian said goodbye to his Stoke teammates on Tuesday and his transfer to the London Stadium could be completed in the next few days.

West Ham have been struggling to add to their squad so far this summer, with the search for a striker in East London yet to be resolved. The Hammers have, however, signed England international Joe Hart on a season long loan from Manchester City after falling out of the number one spot. The Irons also have the chance to make Hart a permanent signing next summer, with a fee of £10m being enough for the 30-year-old keeper. After a difficult maiden season at the London Stadium and following the departure of star player Dimitri Payet, West Ham need to rebuild their squad in an attempt to replicate the success they showed during the 2015/16 Premier League campaign.
