Liverpool's Keita sees Red as Bayern triumph

Liverpool will complete the signing of Naby Keita for a club-record fee next year The midfielder will cost £55m when he arrives from RB Leipzig next summer Jurgen Klopp wanted added steal in his Liverpool midfield with the forceful Keita.

But the Guinea international has been a loose cannon in the Bundesliga this season will be added up to the Liverpool midfield next by january.

Record signing Naby Keita was supposed to be the man to deliver it. But the RB Leipzig star, who will move to Anfield next summer in a £55million deal, is proving anything but disciplined this season after seeing red in three of his last seven matches for club and country.

His latest indiscretion came on Wednesday night as he was dismissed from Leipzig's German Cup (DFB-Polkal) match against after 53 minutes for two bookable offences, the first of which came on the stroke of half-time. Naby Keita (left) was given two yellow cards to earn a third red card in the space of a month The midfielder was sent off after receiving two bookings in the space of just eight minutes This latest early bath followed on from a straight red he received in the Bundesliga tie against Borussia Monchengladbach and another while playing for Guinea in a World Cup qualifier.

Remarkably, all of the red cards have come in the space of a month, which may prove to be something of a concern for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.  Despite being a man down, RB Leipzig still took the lead in the match via a penalty from Emil Forsberg before Thiago Alcantara scored the equaliser and took the game to penalties.
