Dortmund Replaces Dembele with Ukrainian winger

Borussia Dortmund have wasted no time in replacing outgoing star Ousmane Dembele after wrapping up a deal for Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko on Monday. The 27-year-old arrives from Dynamo Kiev, who he originally joined in December 2006, on a four-year deal with Dortmund reportedly shelling out €25 million to secure his services.

Yarmolenko, who has made 69 appearances for his country and scored 29 times, was once linked with Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal.

But after well over 300 appearances for Dynamo Kiev he has finally decided to make the move abroad and is sure to be a key individual for Peter Bosz’s side.

I am very thankful that Dinamo Kiev has fulfilled my dream of moving to a top European club,Yarmolenko said. I will work hard in training, and help BVB reach its biggest goals. It's always about that.

Schwarzgelben have had a positive start to the new Bundesliga season so far, winning both games, scoring five goals and conceding none. After losing someone as talented as Dembele to Barcelona, Yarmolenko’s arrival is sure to ease some the Dortmund fans fears.
