Mbappe returns to Monaco ahead of start to pre-season training despite Real Madrid interest

Kylian Mbappe is on his way back to Monaco for the start of pre-season on Monday morning, despite the uncertainty surrounding his future and growing interest from Real Madrid.
The 18-year-old is valued at over £100million and is the most sought-after forward in Europe after a stunning breakthrough season in Ligue 1 in which he played his part in winning the domestic title.

Real Madrid are still expected to sell Alvaro Morata this summer, despite Manchester United cooling their interest in the striker, meaning the Spanish giants will have space as well as the funds to launch a potential world-record bid for the Frenchman. But Mbappe appears happy to continue plying his trade in Monaco, judging by his most recent post on social media, with the jet-heeled striker revealing he is returning to the Principality.
The France international says he is returning to Monaco in not one but three different languages in the Twitter post, to make absolutely clear to followers from Spain and England of his whereabouts, at least for the start of pre-season. The in-demand forward is wanted by both Real Madrid and Arsenal, with Monaco's Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain prepared to match any bids for the 18-year-old.
But Zinedine Zidane is stalling on a deal for Mbappe, who scored 26 for the Ligue 1 champions least season, leaving PSG feeling confident of hijacking any move Los Blancos make for the teenager.

Unai Emery is determined to land a marquee signing after the Paris outfit missed out on the Ligue 1 title and the club are willing to offer a substantially bigger wage package.
Arsenal signed Alexandre Lacazette for a club-record £53million last week, but Mbappe remains a transfer target for Arsene Wenger should a bidding war surface this summer.
Mbappe's future looks to be the transfer saga that shall rumble on throughout the summer, with James Rodriguez's expected departure from Real only likely to intensify his links to the La Liga champions.
