Chelsea New signings Scores on Champions League Debut

Chelsea's summer signing Davide Zappacosta made his full debut for Chelsea on Tuesday night in their Champions League opener against Qarabag. The signing from Torino was brought in as a deputy for right-wingback Victor Moses, after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain snubbed a move to the Blues.

The Italian’s first start for the club will be a memorable one, as he scored an outrageous first half goal to double Chelsea’s advantage against the Azerbaijani side.

From the right flank, Zappacosta’s cross-come-shot sailed into the net and mid fielder Bakayoko added to the scoring board. The defender looked up as if to cross it, but the trajectory of the ball had all the markings of a shot. He’ll certainly be claiming that it was intentional.
