Chelsea Signs Hazard's brother Kylian Hazard

Chelsea has complted the signing of 22-year-old Kylian Hazard. Chelsea’s now had three Hazards on the books, two actively, after signing Kylian Hazard from Hungarian side Ujpest.

Kylian Hazard, 22, will join Chelsea’s developmental squad. A left winger, Hazard posted four goals and five assists in 42 matches for Ujpest after coming over from Belgian side Zulte Waregem.

At 22, Eden was in the process of making waves at Chelsea and Thorgan was on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach, soon to sign for them permanently. Kylian, in stark contrast, was with Belgian Second Division side White Star Bruxelles for one season at the age of 18 and then moved on to Zulte Waregem, (where Thorgan spent two seasons on loan), where he played just about 100 minutes of football before spending the next two years with Hungarian side Újpest. He was an important player for the Nemzeti Bajnokság I team in his first season but injuries last season saw him make only 7 appearances.

Eden has always spoken highly of his brothers, and once claimed that Kylian was the best of the bunch but it’s safe to say that can be attributed to his modesty. While this move is most likely a favour of sorts to Eden, it should be opening up a few more doors for Kylian in terms of future loan destinations sooner or later.
