After 17 years, Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is getting ready to say goodbye to the Anfield faithful. The 34 year-old has enjoyed a successful time with his home town club, winning everything except a Premier League title.
The former England international knows that when he leaves the club's field for the final time it's going to be an emotional farewell.
"There might be a few individuals who has changed their opinion of me over the seventeen years, which is fine, but I think as a whole, at Anfield and around the world, I've had incredible support, so that will be the most emotional goodbye, but you know, just here at Melwood, the staff, the players that I work with day in, day out, that's what I'm going to miss the most. And also playing at Anfield," said Gerrard.
